Writing lyrics is a lot like acting – the only difference being that you play the character on paper instead of on stage or screen. As a lyricist, one puts himself in the shoes of the person – sees what he sees, hears what he hears, feels what he feels.

Like acting, lyric-writing is another way of leading different lives and telling different stories from different viewpoints. That is what I love about it. There is no better feeling for me than articulating emotions and perspectives on paper in the form of lyrics and moving my readers and listeners with them.
